5 Sweet Spots for Engagement Pictures in Michigan
Michigan is incredibly picturesque, so when it comes time to decide on a place to shoot wedding photos, there are a ton of options. Check out this list for a handful of the best in the state.
Belle Isle Conservatory + Park
So gorgeous + timeless. Belle Isle Park (and conservatory) is one of the top-rated photography spots in Michigan. Click the link below to check out a photoshoot done at Belle Isle by Intricate Exposures who will be doing my engagement photos at this location in a few months! So beautifully done.
Downtown Detroit
Greektown, Comerica Park, + city streets. Detroit is incredibly eclectic and is great for those that truly want a variety of styles in their photos! There is something for the sports lovers, city-goers, and the nature geeks.
Tawas State Park
Although I'm a little bias (I got engaged here!), Tawas is a Michigander's dream come true. Since it is not as "touristy" as the west side of the state, this allows for more comfort and opportunity. The Lake Huron coastline is a gorgeous, sandy view; and who doesn't want the beautiful Lake Huron sunset as their backdrop?
Downtown Ann Arbor
What's not to love in Ann Arbor? The photo-ops are truly endless. Graffiti alley (and some other secret spots) are perfect for an edgy shoot; or try some of University of Michigan's lush gardens and nearby parks.
Grand Haven
Talk about Pure Michigan. Grand Haven has everything you need for a beautiful city-beach session. The harbor and docks are absolutely breathtaking, and will leave you with some gorgeous lighting for your photos. Although summer and fall are beautiful in Grand Haven, winter months bring gorgeous "icebergs" and picture-perfect wintery backdrops for a cozy engagement session.
